Hunkering

Most of my moments have been spent working on the final pieces of credit petitions.  I may be doing far more work than the petitions would actually require, but we're talking about 30 credits.  I'd much rather do more than required now lest I end up losing the credits and needing to take the actual classes.  I may need to take at least one more course next term, but I'd much rather avoid it.

Most of the course petitions shouldn't be a problem.  Nutritional Counseling, Nutrition Across the Lifespan, Nutraceuticals...  All stuff that has been part of my work for years, and a great deal of stuff I've taught in workshops and seminars.  But there is a course on ecology of food choices for which I may not have adequate documentation.  My experience running a CSA may not be broad enough to count, and I've no idea if my supporting reading list matches what the academics want.  I'll know by the first of February.

Of course, this is the time when my writer-brain, bored by schoolwork alternating with long drives, hands me the entire plot for the next novel--this time without the previous plot holes, ambiguous motivations, and unresolved conflicts.  I've had pieces of the plot before, but now it's full-blown, connected, complete.  I frantically scribbled out plot-markers and pieces of dialog, then returned to the consuming school work.

Course petitions must be turned in by Thursday.  My son will be staying with friends Friday night, and attending the annual New Year sleep-in at the dojo Saturday.  Writing shall ensue!!

Yay indeed! I am so tired of writing for school rather than for novels. To know the end is so close...

Wow, that sounds like a huge amount of work. Good luck with the petitions.

Awesome about the novel! Hope you have fun writing this weekend.

I've decided to write a paper today for the ecology petition because I don't think my secondary documentation is enough. So...can I turn out a coherent twenty-page paper, with proper citations, today? We shall see.

And I so so so hope to have a wonderful time writing this weekend!
